An industrial base behind the trade

Montage’s manufacturing capability runs through two separate Pakistan-based producers, both part of the Montage group: Pachem Global (known as PA Chem), a market leader in phthalic anhydride, and Lotte Chemical Pakistan, a producer of purified terephthalic acid (PTA). Together they give the group a genuine industrial base across two distinct petrochemical chains.

They are separate companies, with separate products and facilities. What they share is the group’s operating discipline and a position inside the value chain that informs how we trade and finance the commodities around them.

Pachem Global, part of the Montage group, is a market leader in phthalic anhydride (PA) with a world-class production facility in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and a firm global market share. Phthalic anhydride is a versatile chemical intermediate used to make plasticizers for flexible PVC, unsaturated polyester resins for composites and fibreglass, and alkyd resins for paints and coatings.

As a producer of PA rather than only a trader of it, the group brings real production economics and quality insight to a chemical that sits behind construction, automotive, packaging and coatings demand.

Lotte Chemical Pakistan, also part of the group, produces purified terephthalic acid (PTA), one of the foundational building blocks of the modern petrochemical chain. Combined with monoethylene glycol, PTA is the primary raw material for polyester and PET, the polymers behind textiles and apparel, bottles and rigid packaging, and film and engineering applications.

PTA demand tracks the growth of these broad, durable consumer markets, which keeps it a strategically relevant feedstock across the regions Montage serves.

Owning industrial capacity changes how Montage trades and finances. Production across PA and PTA gives the group a producer’s view of cost, availability and quality dynamics, sharpening how our desk reads the petrochemical and aromatics markets rather than relying on external signals alone.

It also reinforces reliability. A position inside two value chains means the group understands offtake, logistics and counterparty needs from both sides of the trade, as a manufacturer and as a trader. That dual perspective is what makes Montage a group rather than a single-discipline house.
